Company history Veos plc, a company dedicated to offering innovative products for women. 1983: Page Hanes begins the development of the Oves contraceptive cap. Page Hanes was in operation for 11 years. It developed and brought to pilot Phase III FDA clinical trials a new generation cervical cap. Veos Ltd is the successor to the US company Page Hanes Inc. 1990: The rights to the Oves cap were subsequently licensed to the Dow Corning Corporation. During the next three years, Page Hanes and Dow Corning jointly continued the development of the Oves contraceptive cap and its production techniques. 1994: Veos Ltd was incorporated in Jersey where it maintained its corporate offices. Between 1994 and 1997 Veos developed prototypes of the product and its production moulds, establishing a preferred manufacturing process by the end of 1997. 1997: Veos Ltd received an unrestricted 5-year EC approval for its contraceptive cap (the maximum allowed). This allows the company to market Oves throughout the European Community. 1998: Veos Ltd also has Canadian market approval. 1998: Veos France received both the ISO 9002 & EN 46002. 1998: Oves, a brand new form of contraception, is launched in France. 1999: Veos was introduced on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (“AIM”) in December 1999. 2000: Veos received FDA approval for its conception cap (March 2000). 2000: ISO 9002, EN 46002 and CE-marking for contraceptive & conception products secured for Veos UK Ltd (Sept 2000). 2001: Oves is launched in the UK, selling over the counter in 420 Boots The Chemists stores (March 2001). 2001: Oves for sale online through www.ladytobaby.com (July 2001) 2002: Veos PLC appoints new directors. |
